Pet Stains on Different Surfaces

It's happened to all of us dog owners before, whether it is a puppy or the most well trained adult dog, they are bound to leave a mess on your carpet a few times in their lives. Luckily, with fast action and the right cleaning materials your dog's mess won't leave an unsightly stain or unpleasant odor in the room. If your dog does decide to leave a mess on your carpet or floors, you can follow these steps to ensure a thorough clean up of the area.

  • Use paper towels to clean up all of the solid waste.
  • Blot up the as much of the liquid as you can with a paper towel.
  • Use a small dab of liquid detergent on a towel to scrub out as much of the stain as possible.
  • Mix 1 quart of warm water with a 1/2 cup of white vinegar and dribble this onto the stain.
  • Blot up with a paper towel until the carpet is completely dry and the stain should be removed.
